Meet Our Staff:

Marilyn S. Nyman, M.Ed., CCC/SP
Founder and CEO
Marilyn is a veteran entrepreneur who has founded two ongoing, successful businesses — Nyman Associates and Nyman Group — both with roots in the study and practice of communications. Nyman Associates is a leading provider of speech-language pathology services to the healthcare community. This clinical foundation informs her Nyman Group approach to helping executives blend both art and science to improve business communications.
Marilyn holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language Pathology and has taught leadership theory and practice at Harvard Graduate School of Education, Principal’s Center, and The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). As a University of Pennsylvania Fox Fellow, she taught a 16-week course in Communication for Effective Leadership and is a certified provider for the Center for Creative Leadership’s Benchmarks® Assessment.
Active in business and community organizations, Marilyn is a board member of the Anti-Defamation League and has memberships in the Forum of Executive Women, Speech Communication Association, and the National Speakers Association.

Jackie Reeves
Sr. Consultant, Nyman Group
As an executive coach, workshop facilitator, and motivational speaker, Jackie combines her wealth of professional experience with an innovative approach that makes each person or group she deals with feel engaged and energized.
For over 25 years, Jackie has designed, developed and delivered corporate seminars in presentation skills, executive and professional presence, interpersonal skills, leadership and team development,
cultural awareness, conflict management, cross-generational collaboration, and written communication.
Jackie draws upon a broad educational background including a Master’s Degree in language from the University of Arkansas and a designation as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management. She holds certifications in training and program design & development and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce, National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), and the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).

Colleen Kelly, MA. CCC-SLP

Colleen started her career as a Speech Language Pathologist with Nyman Associates, Inc. in 1991 as a Clinical Fellow. She earned a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Temple University. Colleen is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has mentored many clinical fellows in their quests to become ASHA-certified speech pathologists. As the ASHA CE Administrator for Nyman Associates, Colleen collaborates with ASHA to provide exciting continuing education programs. She has vast experience in treating communication and swallowing disorders in a variety of medical and outpatient settings.

Susana L. Keller
Susana is a consultant focused on developing leadership and communication skills in the corporate environment. Her expertise is grounded in science and guided by an appreciation of the demands of the business world. She is a clinically certified speech pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Baylor University. She led a team of physical medicine therapists at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas before joining an internal consulting team during a system-wide reorganization. After completing her MBA in Marketing and Corporate Strategy from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, she joined the pharmaceutical manufacturer, Merck & Co. She led several initiatives in her twelve years at Merck as a sales representative, market research manager, and brand director. She believes passionately that effective communication is both a reflection of the speaker and a powerful force for affecting change.

Keith Ellison
Keith combines his high standards of academic excellence with state-of-the-art theory in each of his leadership development workshops. His professional experiences include Director of Consulting Services at The Wharton School and six successful years in sales and marketing leadership at IBM. In addition to teaching at The Wharton School and Wilkes University, Keith co-authored Conversations on Success and founded the company Next Step, which publishes a quarterly magazine on cultural diversity.
Keith has a BA in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from The Wharton School.

David Sorin

Experienced in operational management, negotiations, strategic planning, and project management, David applies global perspectives in every sense of the word. David is an experienced attorney, licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, focused on civil litigation, contracts, and employment law. He is the author of The Special Events Advisor, a business and legal guide, as well as numerous magazine and journal articles. David uses his experience to affect positive change through leadership development with an emphasis on operational excellence and corporate values and culture.

John Good
John has worked as an advisor and neutral in the area of negotiation and conflict management for over 25 years, pioneering the application of “Interest Based” negotiating techniques. His experience includes working with multi-national companies on M&A and cultural integration; training diplomats, officials, and mediators in Russia & Ukraine on negotiation and conflict resolution; facilitating a successful process of cooperation in the Middle East on chemical and biological threats; and mediating contract negotiations between labor and management in telecom, energy, education, and government.
John has studied, worked, and lectured with the Harvard Program on Negotiation, been a guest lecturer at Drexel University and The Wharton School, and served on the Labor Panel of the American Arbitration Association.

Judy West
Judy brings over 30 years of successful experience to the Nyman team. Her talents lie in developing and teaching courses, training programs, workshops, and coaching sessions that improve the oral and written performance of professionals for whom English is an acquired language. Judy earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and has completed advanced level Spanish classes at La Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. She has memberships in TESOL and Penn TESOL East, as well as the Greater Philadelphia chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). She is also the co-leader of their Trainers’ Edge Special Interest Group.

Michael Brenner, Ed.D.
“Part of what makes my job rewarding is helping participants change how they think, how they interact with others, and most importantly, how they feel about their own potential.”
Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University, as well as a Doctorate in Adult Learning and Organizational Leadership from the Teacher’s College of Columbia University. He combines his extensive knowledge of adult learning theory, program development, and organizational dynamics to create a memorable learning experience.
Mike teaches organizational behavior at Immaculata University and holds certificates in LIST © and Defuse © customer service methods from Sigma Service Solutions, 360-Degree Assessments from the Center for Creative Leadership, and Crucial Conversations © from VitalSmarts.

Kimberley Leahy, Ph.D.
Kimberley, a Nyman consultant, is a Fulbright Scholar who has a 20-year professional history of training and development. Her areas of specialization encompass strategic communication, change management, business development, social media, conflict resolution, corporate ethics, public relations, cross-cultural communication, crisis management, executive coaching, speech writing, and public speaking and presentation.
Beyond her experience in the United States, Kimberley served with the U.S. Department of State for one year in Lithuania, piloting workshop offerings in International Business Communications. She lived and worked in the U.A.E. as a visiting scholar with the American University of Dubai. While in the Middle East, Kimberley partnered with Dubai businesses in delivering International Business Communication seminars to enhance trading opportunities beyond the region. She also spent time in Montenegro, where she met with the country’s Deputy Minister of Finance to discuss natural resource export opportunities.
Kimberley holds a Ph.D. in Communications, an M.B.A. in Organizational Systems, and a B.S. in Marketing. Clients say that “she is passionate about leveraging potential, whether in businesses or with individuals” and “expert in creating success in overlooked opportunities.”

Theresa Hummel-Krallinger
Consultant
Theresa is a well-respected corporate trainer, executive coach and performance consultant for Nyman Group. Known for her lively and interactive delivery style, she is a frequently requested speaker on topics of employee morale, professional development, performance improvement, customer service, negotiations, conflict management, and other workplace communications topics.
Theresa graduated from the prestigious leadership development organization, Women Unlimited in NYC, where she currently serves as a mentor to rising female leaders. She also holds a degree from Chestnut Hill College in Biology/Chemistry. With certifications in Human Resource Management, Behavioral Styles training/coaching, Crucial Conversations, instructional design, adult learning, and technical writing, Theresa has a broad array of business tools and educational experiences from which to draw. She is an adjunct instructor with Temple University’s Business Agenda, where her course, “What’s Your Point?”, is part of their project management certificate program. Having been published in several professional journals, Theresa is currently writing a book.
